Stuart
Leigh – Director
Stuart started at Reed
Business Information, working on IT & Electrical titles and that
first couple of years in the media industry stood him good stead,
as he was soon working for the Evening Standard where, for seven years
he worked on both the technology sectors and Recruitment Agency advertising.
The
next couple of years were spent at Maxwell Business Communications
working on Insurance Age which, under Stuart’s leadership, became
market leader.

Communications
News was next to get the Stuart Midas touch and within 6 months, Communications
News went from a tired (4th in its market) looking magazine to market
leader. After
2 very successful years, Stuart was head hunted by VNU who invented
a position for him. It’s no coincidence that within a year,
Computing went from no 2 to no 1 in its market, generating more revenue
than at any other time in its history, partly due to Stuart’s
contribution of £2m in new business and £3m in account
managed clients.

for the new launches of Network Computing, Storage Magazine &
Green IT, he also ran CAD User, Construction Computing and DM Magazine,
as well as, launching very successful awards evenings in all but
one of the above magazines markets.
Armed
with this experience, the natural progression was to set up Communicate
IT.
Three clients came on board from day one and with an average saving
of 35% on their media buying, Communicate
IT has been up and running
since October 2009. |
